Fukrey [Movie-Hindi-2013]

Fukrey is a fun film. It is a different film than the usual Bollywood crap. There is some good acting and dialogues. Farhan Akhtar, I can say, produces good films, which are both critically acclaimed, and audience favoured. It's good to see movie revolving around multiple characters. This was a fresh movie. I really enjoyed it. Even though the concept was a bit overimaginative which potrayed one of the protagonists' able to dream a lottery number. The movie shows the real India which shows that everything can be worked out if you provide the moolah. I see almost all the actors in the movie having a good acting career. Real potential among them. Not only the quatret of Ali Fazal [Zafar], Pulkit Sharma [Hunny], Varun Sharma [Choocha] and Manjot Singh [Laali], but also Richa Chadda [Bholi Punjaban], Vishakha Singh [Neetu] and Pankaj Tripathi [Pandeyji]. Even the  minute acting of the drug addict was good.

All in all, a good movie to watch, Fun!
My rating - 7/10.

P.S - Really innovative t-shirts worn by Choocha, the one depicting the Indian singer 'Yo Yo Honeysingh] and the one making a mockery out of the brand 'Puma'

Batman [Movie-1989]

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

The word Batman brings you to 'Christopher Nolan', 'Christian Bale', 'Heath Ledger' and 'Michael Caine/Tom Hardy/Liam Neeson and sometimes also Hans Zimmer.
Now, the Nolan trilogy is epic, deserves all accolades it earned. But, Tim Burton's Batman is fair enough too. In this movie too, The Joker played 'Jack Nicholson' steals the show with his brilliant acting.
Rest of the cast is pretty weak though. Michael Keaton is not an actor good enough to play a  role as challenging as Batman. The other characters also have less significance. Very simple movie, one expects a twist in the story in a superhero movie. This was quite a predictable movie. The music was nice though. Mostly done by 'Prince'. But, I feel Burton could have done much better, given his other films like 'Edward Scissorhands', 'Big Fish', 'Alice in Wonderland'. I would have liked Alfred and/or Gordon to have a bigger role too. The sets were made with precision and the film even got an Oscar for set designing.
I would say it to be a one time watch it. Mostly for Jack Nicholson.
My rating 6.2/10.

Yeezus - Kanye West [Album-2013]

Kanye West's new album 'Yeezus' dissapoints. WE WANT [or atleast I do] want the old school Kanye     back. Why would you want to expirement at something you're so good at?
Is he trying to be a hipster? I guess so. Kanye and Eminem and at time Drake are the only great rappers currently and you don't expect Kanye to fuck up so bad. I heard the album yesterday and I was like 'what the fuck'. WHY? WHY KANYE WHY? I knew something was up when Daft Punk were revealed producers. Dissapointed in their new album as well.
Only song I like from 'Yeezus' is 'Black Skinhead' Well, year of dissapointing albums for me.
Pitchfork, Rolling stone and almost every other critic is rating this new album heavily but I personally don't like experimenting so I would rate it a 3.5/10.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog [TV mini-series 2008]

Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog features three renowned TV actors of the present. Neil Patrick Harris of the 'How I Met Your Mother fame', and Nathan Filion and Simon Helberg of 'Castle' and 'The Big Bang Theory' respectively.
Though it's a mini tv series, I watched it as a movie [a 40 minute show]. It's quite an innovative mini-series with romance, comedy [nice, new comedy] and sci-fi mixed together in a form of a musical. Watch it just for NPH and his brilliant acting. Itis rated as an 8.6/10 on IMDB but I think it is a tad bit too high and would give it a 7.2/10.
Download it and watch it. It's fun.
