Batman [Movie-1989]

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

The word Batman brings you to 'Christopher Nolan', 'Christian Bale', 'Heath Ledger' and 'Michael Caine/Tom Hardy/Liam Neeson and sometimes also Hans Zimmer.
Now, the Nolan trilogy is epic, deserves all accolades it earned. But, Tim Burton's Batman is fair enough too. In this movie too, The Joker played 'Jack Nicholson' steals the show with his brilliant acting.
Rest of the cast is pretty weak though. Michael Keaton is not an actor good enough to play a  role as challenging as Batman. The other characters also have less significance. Very simple movie, one expects a twist in the story in a superhero movie. This was quite a predictable movie. The music was nice though. Mostly done by 'Prince'. But, I feel Burton could have done much better, given his other films like 'Edward Scissorhands', 'Big Fish', 'Alice in Wonderland'. I would have liked Alfred and/or Gordon to have a bigger role too. The sets were made with precision and the film even got an Oscar for set designing.
I would say it to be a one time watch it. Mostly for Jack Nicholson.
My rating 6.2/10.
